Fishtown earned the title of 2016 Curbed Cup Neighborhood of the Year for a lot of reasons, from its restaurant renaissance to its nightlife. But its popularity means that home prices here are inching up and up: The median price is $232,400, up 12 percent from last year, according to Zillow. And the most expensive homes for sale here have surged past the $800K mark.
The good news is that it’s still possible to find a bargain here. A dive into current listings by real estate analytics firm NeighborhoodX found the 10 most affordable properties in Fishtown, starting with a 648-square-foot home for $137,500, or $212/square foot.
All of the properties are 2- to 3-bedroom homes, except for one condo in the Shaxmaxon Court. This property is actually the most expensive home on the list, going by a price-per-square-foot basis, NeighborhoodX points out.
