The Victorian homes in West Philly never cease to impress, and they can hardly stay on the market for long, either. The latest listing in Cedar Park is no different, asking $449,000 for a big five-bedroom twin with a side yard and impressive woodwork within to boot.

The twin at 601 S. 48th Street is a corner property that clocks in at an impressive 3,213 square feet. That comes out to a price tag of $140 per square foot, which buys five bedrooms and two and a half baths.

It’s a stately property that features some incredible woodwork immediately behind the front double door. There are exposed ceiling beams matched with a built-in bench, a wooden fireplace mantel, and stained glass windows.

Up the ornate staircase are big bedrooms, some with ornamental fireplaces and others with large, bay windows. One room also comes with an original built-in armoire, while another features a wall of built-in bookcases. Both full bathrooms are located upstairs, too, and feature original pedestal sinks and clawfoot tubs.

The backyard is where the new owners could put their green thumb to use, and maybe while at it tackle the home’s vinyl siding, too.

Take a tour and imagine the potential below.
