Here’s what $1,500 rents in Philly right now

With options in Fairmount, Kensington, and more

Welcome back to Curbed Comparisons, a dive into the options available for a certain price point in various Philly neighborhoods. Today’s price point: $1,500 a month.

Devil’s Pocket (1 bed, 1 bath)—Located right on Grays Ferry Avenue on the edge of Devil’s Pocket and Graduate Hospital is this 700-square-foot apartment. It’s a loft-style rental that was recently rehabbed, and according to the listing, parking and laundry are included. Sorry, but no pets.

Passyunk Square (2 beds, 1 bath)—Here’s a rowhome asking $1,495 in monthly rent. It’s a quick walk to all of the restaurants and retail along East Passyunk Avenue, and there’s a back patio and in-unit laundry. It is sans dishwasher, though.

Fairmount (1 bed, 1 bath)—This 700-square-foot apartment is located right on North Broad, two blocks from the subway. The east-facing unit looks out right onto North Broad and sits on the sixth floor. It’s the only unit on this week’s list with access to a gym.

Olde Kensington (2 beds, 2 baths)—In Kensington, $1,500 rents you this recently rehabbed apartment in a rowhome. The bi-level rental features two bedrooms, which each have their own bathrooms. And while it could use some TLC, there’s a private patio out back. Pets are welcome with an additional fee.

South Kensington (3 beds, 1 bath)Here’s a home sitting pretty in pink in South Kensington. All three bedrooms are carpeted and on the second floor, while the kitchen manages to squeeze in laundry behind a closet door. Bonus: There’s room for one car in the back, where there’s also a patio.
