Springfield Avenue in West Philly is lined with a string of large Victorian homes, making one of the most visually stunning blocks in the neighborhood of Squirrel Hill. Now, one of the homes has hit the market to the tune of $550,000.

“A lot of Philadelphians don’t know Springfield Avenue,” says listing agent Jeffrey Block. “It is a wide, tree-lined avenue and really quiet, as well. Just a really lovely street.”

The home for sale is a big one, clocking in at 3,357 square feet. The 5-bedroom, 2.5-bath home is a twin, but it has plenty of private outdoor space, including a wrap-around front porch that shows off its stone exterior, plus a big deck out back that looks over the yard.

The interiors of the home is highlighted by its 10-foot-ceilings on the first floor. Here, there’s large wall of exposed brick with a working, tiled fireplace. The brick continues up the rest of the home, and there are other fireplaces scattered throughout.

There’s a lot of character in the home, which dates back to the late early 1890s, but there are a couple of upgrades, including a renovated kitchen and master bedroom.
