Philly rent comparison: What $2,000 gets right now

With options in Logan Square, Point Breeze, East Falls, and more

Welcome back to Curbed Comparisons, a dive into the options available for a certain price point in various Philly neighborhoods. Is one person's loft another person’s townhouse? Let's find out! Today's price: $2,000/month.

Logan Square (1 bed, 1 bath)—This unit in the Phoenix Condominiums clocks in at 634 square feet, but has super-tall ceilings. And while it’s listed as a 1-bedroom, technically the bedroom is only separated by a room divider. Still, the apartment has been recently renovated, has in-unit laundry, and has access to a gym and community roof deck.

Washington Square (1 bed, 1 bath)—Across Center City in Washington Square is another 1-bedroom for rent on the second floor of a corner building. It has some character, including big, tall windows, a working fireplace, and pocket doors that open to the bedroom. There’s in-unit laundry, but sorry, no pets.

East Falls (3 beds, 2 baths)—Meanwhile, in East Falls, $2,000/month rents you a 3-bedroom unit in a rowhome. The listing info is lacking details, but based on the photos it looks like the stone home was recently renovated and has a new kitchen and bathrooms. The bi-level unit also has access to a roof deck.

Northern Liberties (2 beds, 1 bath)—Here’s a bi-level apartment for rent just on the edge of Frankford Avenue in Northern Liberties. The unit is just finishing up renovations, but when all is said and done there will be access to a roof deck from one of the bedrooms, and shared laundry. Pets have to be approved by the owner.

Point Breeze (3 beds, 2.5 baths)—One of the largest units on this list, this Point Breeze rental clocks in at 1,880 square feet. The recently renovated home features a bonus living space in the finished basement, in-unit laundry, and a master suite. Pets welcome.
