Action News anchor Monica Malpass lists Rittenhouse Square pad

The Rittenhouse Square home of Action News anchor Monica Malpass has hit the market for $4.9 million. Malpass, who also hosts 6abc’s political talk show Inside Story, has owned the property since 2005, according to public records.

The stately 8,200-square-foot home features six bedrooms, five full bathrooms, and two half baths. It dates back to 1865 and is listed on the both the National and Philadelphia Register of Historic Places.

Based on the listing photos, the property’s interiors have been impeccably maintained. There are crystal chandeliers in the main living areas and kitchen, original crown molding, and nine working fireplaces throughout the home.

Per the listing, the home has undergone a number of upgrades since Malpass purchased the home in 2005 for $2.6 million. A solarium was added in 2009, and last year the home got a new two-tier deck, heater, A/C unit, water heater, and exterior paint job. One bedroom was also converted into a mini-gym/basketball court.
