With options in East Falls, Queen Village, Callowhill, and more

Welcome back to Curbed Comparisons, a dive into the options available for a certain price point in various Philly neighborhoods. Is one person's loft another person’s townhouse? Let's find out! Today's price: $1,200/month.

East Falls (2 beds, 1 bath)—You can almost always count on East Falls if you’re looking for breathing room. This 1,200-square-foot rowhome has a front porch and pretty large fenced-in backyard. It’s also a block from the SEPTA station. The monthly rent is $1,250, but you’ll have to wait until April to move in.

Logan Square (1 bed, 1 bath)This apartment in the Parkway House is a cozy 426 square feet. But there’s a community patio and roof deck with city views when you need some space and a fitness center. Also, it’s pet-friendly and there’s shared laundry on every floor.

Queen Village (1 bed, 1.5 baths)—Located right at the end of East Passyunk Avenue, this bi-level walk-up definitely has some character, mixing exposed brick and concrete floors with brightly-colored modern appliances. It clocks in at 700 square feet. No word on pets or laundry, though.

Spruce Hill (3 beds, 1 bath)—There’s room to spare in this recently renovated apartment at 45th and Sansom. The 2,760-square-foot unit is the biggest rental on this list, and there’s a front and back porch, too. Sorry, but no pets.

Callowhill (1 bed, 1 bath)—In what could be a blessing or a curse, this 1-bedroom in Callowhill is located above Prohibition Taproom. The cozy unit has hardwood floors and checkered tiling in the kitchen, plus a shared roof deck and laundry with other tenants. All pets welcome, and rent is $1,225 a month.
