Welcome back to Curbed Comparisons, a dive into the options available for a certain price point in various Philly neighborhoods. Is one person's loft another person’s townhouse? Let's find out! Today's price: $2,100/month.
Fishtown (2 beds, 2 baths)—This loft-style unit is located in the recently renovated Chesterman Building on Memphis Street. It’s definitely for folks looking for that industrial modern look, with its factory windows, concrete floors and ceilings, and exposed brick. There’s in-unit laundry, parking, and a bike room. Pets are welcome, but it’ll cost you a $300 non-refundable deposit.
Washington Square West (2 beds, 2 baths)—For $2,100 a month, you can live in this 814-square-foot Trinity-style home just a few blocks from Washington Square Park. There’s an entire wall of built-ins in one room, a spiral floating walnut staircase, and a fireplace. Note: The bathroom in the bedroom features a double-swing door. Sorry, no pets.
Logan Square (1 beds, 1 bath)—This condo has the least amount of bedrooms on the list, but at 1,100 square feet it’s still pretty spacious. It also offers the most amenities, including a roof top terrace and access to a fitness center, game room, media room. Laundry is in-unit, too. Pets welcome.
Powelton (4 beds, 2 baths)—You’ll have to wait until June to rent this rowhome, but when that’ll give you time to brainstorm what to do with all those extra bedrooms. The home has been upgraded with hardwood floors, there’s in-unit laundry, and there’s a front porch and roof deck. It’s also close to the bus, trolley, and the El. Pets welcome.
Manayunk (5 beds, 1.5 baths)—In Manayunk, $2,100 goes a long way. This rowhome is 2,122 square feet and has a living room, dining room, and cabinetry to spare in the kitchen. All of the upstairs bedrooms are carpeted, and the bathroom leaves a bit to be desired. Sorry, but even with the backyard there’s a no pets policy.
