The interiors are just as impressive

This Elkins Park home that recently hit the market is truly pulling off its shingles, coupled by an beautiful wrap-around porch.

Although the shingled exterior and roof were what first caught our eye, the 4-bedroom, 2-bath home’s interiors are equally impressive. The two-story foyer, alone, is lovely, filled with light coming in through the home’s stained glass windows. The parquet floors with wood inlays have been sanded and refinished, too.

Those hardwood floors and woodwork continue upstairs to the second floor, where there are four big bedrooms and another full bathroom. The listing notes that one of the bedrooms has access to a private back stairwell, so it could be used as an in-law or guest suite.

But back to the 2,094-square-foot home’s exterior. In addition to the expansive wrap-around porch, out back there’s a pretty epic back porch off the kitchen. It’s covered with a trellis, and there are stairs that lead down to the backyard and artist’s studio on the lower level.

The asking price of this home is $315,000. There’s an open house on Sunday, May 7 from 2 to 4 p.m.
