With options in Fishtown, Rittenhouse, West Philly, and more

Welcome back to Curbed Comparisons, a dive into the options available for a certain price point in various Philly neighborhoods. Is one person's loft another person’s townhouse? Let's find out! This week’s price point: Around $950 a month.

Fishtown (1 bed, 1 bath)—No, you won’t have a dishwasher or in-unit laundry, but this one-bedroom unit’s location on Shackamaxon Street does put you close to all of Fishtown’s many haunts and the Girard Station on the El. Plus, pets are welcome.

Washington Square West (Studio, 1 bath)—At 258 square feet, you won’t be doing cartwheels in this loft-style apartment. But it does manage to squeeze in some character, and there’s a working fireplace in the unit. The building also offers free shared laundry.

Rittenhouse (Studio, 1 bath)—This unit by far the tiniest apartment up for grabs, at 195 square feet. (Note: These are sample photos of the unit.) It’ll also cost you slightly more to live near Rittenhouse Square: Rent is $975 a month. But that includes access to an on-site gym and a pet-friendly atmosphere.

West Philly (Studio, 1 bath)—You could be one of the first folks to move into West Lofts, once home to West Philadelphia High School. It’s still a construction zone, but eventually there will be on-site amenities like a huge fitness center, lounge, and co-working space. Right now, this studio is going for $955 a month.
