With options in University City, Kensington, Old City, and more

Welcome back to Curbed Comparisons, a dive into the options available for a certain price point in various Philly neighborhoods. Is one person's loft another person’s townhouse? Let's find out! Today's price: Around $2,000/month.

Old City (1 bed, 1 bath)—You’d be the first to live in this 525-square-foot unit in the new Bridge apartment building in Old City. A rent of $2,050 a month gets you big views, in-unit laundry, and access to the building’s amenities like the outdoor terrace, gym, and pet-washing facility.

Kensington (4 beds, 1 bath)—For the biggest bang for buck, look to this four-bedroom rowhome in Kensington. The recently renovated property is actually a double lot, so expect extra-wide spaces. There’s also a landscaped backyard patio, laundry in the basement, and the location puts you a quick walk from the Girard Station on the El.

East Falls (2 beds, 1 bath)—For $2,055 a month, you can live where Grace Kelly once did. A two-bedroom in one of Alden Park’s three historic apartment buildings is available, and it clocks in at a 1,412 square feet. The units at Alden park have been renovated, and all tenants have access to the pool it has a retractable roof), tennis courts, and other amenities.

University City (1 bed, 1 bath)—Right across the Schuylkill River in University City is this one-bedroom available in the historic Left Bank building, originally built as the Pennsylvania Railroad Depot. The 823-square-foot unit has city views, in-unit laundry, and access to the inner courtyard and roof deck. It’s asking for $2,075 a month.

Logan Square (2 beds, 1.5 baths)—This price point goes a little further over in Logan Square, where this two-bedroom loft is available in the Lofts at Logan View for $2,090 a month. There’s an extra den, it’s pet-friendly, and the location puts you close to the city’s museums, and residents have access to a massive fitness facility in the Metropolitan building.
