If you’ve ever walked past this green garage door on N. 4th Street in Northern Liberties, chances are you never thought twice what lies behind it. Turns out there’s a massive 7,664-square-foot home on three lots hiding here, and now it’s on the market for $1,350,000.

The home at 930-932 N. 4th Street was custom-built in 2005, inspired by midcentury modern architecture, per the listing. But it’s unlike anything we’ve seen in this neighborhood or in Philly for that matter.

Let’s start with what’s directly behind the garage door: The front yard is complete with a Japanese garden and a pond filled with goldfish. The living room’s ceilings are more than 20 feet tall and there’s an actual well in the center of the floor.

The well dates back to when the Cohocksink Creek stream ran through Northern Liberties and nearby Kensington. Surrounding this well are reclaimed bluestone and Belgium blocks that came from the carriage horse road that used to occupy this property.

There are plenty of other spaces throughout the four-bedroom, three-bath home to ogle over: The wine-tasting room, the mahogany deck gallery above the huge living room, and the roof deck, just to name a few.
