Washington Square West (1 bed, 1 bath)—Down in Center City there is a condo available for rent in the Western Union Building. It has an open-floor layout and access to all of the building’s amenities, including a spot in the parking garage. The bedroom is located in the middle of the apartment, but there’s a window cut-out that helps bring in some light from the living room.

Manayunk (3 beds, 2 baths)—For the most bang for buck, look to this three-bedroom rental in the new Trestle Apartments in Manayunk.
