Combining stone, exposed wood beams, and towering ceilings, a character-filled home at 128 Farwood Road just came on the market for $850,000.

The four-bed, 3.5-bath place offers nearly 4,000 square feet of space, and it shows. The great room on the first floor is two-stories tall, with vaulted ceilings, skylights, wood floors, and a tall stone fireplace. It features a step-down living area, as well as an open kitchen, dining area, and access to a stone patio outside.

The great room is arguably the highlight of the place, but there’s also a stone-floor sunroom, a wood bar—in its own separate first-floor room—, a study with built-in bookshelves, and another living room near the front of the house.

Upstairs holds the bedrooms, including the master bedroom, which has a walk-in closet, and a long bathroom with a marble tub and countertops.

The place was built in 1930 and has jumped in price since it last sold for $670,000 in 2011. If you’re eager to check it out for yourself, there’s an open house on Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m.
