The leafy neighborhood of East Oak Lane, located right on the edge of Philly’s city limits, never ceases to impress with its handsome housing stock at a fraction of the price of other Philly neighborhoods. Take this home at 6607 N. 13th Street, for example, which is on the market for $289,900.

It’s a Victorian twin with six bedrooms and two baths, clocking in a 2,300 square feet. That comes out to $126 per square foot.

The stone home has been updated throughout, with a fresh coat of paint, new windows, and updated systems. But plenty of its original charm remains. The refinished hardwood floors are Tiger Oak, there are pocket doors with leaded stained glass windows that separate the dining room from the main living room, and the kitchen retains its original butler’s pantry.

Upstairs, the six bedrooms vary in size, with the smallest bedroom measuring in at 9 feet by 9 feet and the largest 12 by 8. There’s also an extra room that could be converted into an office or an in-law suite, since it has its own bathroom with a clawfoot tub.

Also a rarity: The home has both a small front yard and an even bigger backyard.

Want to see it in person? There’s an open house on Saturday, February 10 from 1 to 3 p.m.
