Major Philly Developer Bart Blatstein is taking yet another project under his belt: turning a section of land next to his Tower Place apartment into a retail plaza, complete with a CVS and a bank, Philly.com first reported.
The two story retail development would stretch along Spring Garden Street, from Broad to 15th, according to a brochure posted online by MSC Retail. The group said in the brochure that they have signed a lease with Citizens Bank, for a 3,000-square-foot space on the 15th Street corner of the development, and another lease with CVS for an 11,000-square-foot space on the Broad Street side.
They’re also working to bring a Sprint store and a Starbucks into the plaza. Between 2,500 and 5,000 square feet of space is still available on the first floor, according to the brochure.
The development, which is planned for early 2019, sits next to Blatstein’s 17-story Tower Place residential development, which opened five years ago at the old State Office building on Broad Street.
