A grand, 8,500-square-foot home in Villanova just dropped on the market for $2,695,000.
The home has plenty of character and elegance, which makes sense. The previous owners modeled the place after a Tuscan villa they visited in Italy, according to a statement from Long and Foster.
The five-bed, seven-bath home sits in an upscale section of Villanova named “The Thicket” and offers a large dining room with a wooden wet bar and plenty of chandeliers, as well as large chef’s kitchen with an Onyx center island and leathered granite. The kitchen connects to a breakfast nook and sunroom, which has wood ceilings and a fireplace.

Move into the great room, which has ceilings that stretch up two stories, accented by wooden beams, which are a fixture throughout the home. A French limestone fireplace sits in the back, and the exterior walls and doors are almost all glass, gazing out over a patio.
A master bedroom with a fireplace, long drapes, and nearly wall-to-wall windows sits in the back part of the first floor. Just off the bedroom—yet another bonus—is a glamorous bathroom with a soaking tub and (yes, another) chandelier.

The next two floors hold even more space, including a bedroom with built-in black bunk beds and a balcony that looks out over the main living room. Travel back down to the below-ground level and find an expansive den with a bar/kitchen area and a living space that includes a fireplace.
While the pictures of the home are gorgeous, they don’t fully do it justice. You can check out a full walk-through of the home on the Long and Foster website.
After all that, there’s yet another bonus to the place—a full-size elevator that travels between all the floors.
