For $315K, a Tudor-style Germantown home

The home has five beds and two baths

Michael Eckstrom, Via Re/Max

A spacious home that looks like it was plucked right out of an English countryside, just listed for $314,900.

The five-bed, two-bath Germantown home offers nearly 2,500 square feet of homey living space. It opens with a hardwood floor foyer, with a living room—complete with a working brick fireplace—to the left. At the right is the dining room that leads into an eat-in kitchen.

That’s where the countryside-feel really shines. The kitchen has worn hardwood floors and a farmhouse sink, and it’s connected to a small butlers pantry as well as a painted-brick mudroom (which can also be used for more kitchen storage).

The stairs lead up to bedrooms on the second and third floor, which have the same sleek hardwood floors as well as thick wood doors.

The house was built in 1930, when the Tudor style was popular throughout the country—and it shows. The exterior of the home has the classic Tudor elements, like half-timbering and brick cladding. A red farmhouse front door adds to the countryside feel of the place.
