Passyunk Square home has urban farmhouse style for $505K

New, 1 comment

The home has a number of rustic elements that recall countryside, farmhouse-style homes.

From the outside, this newly listed property at 728 Ellsworth Street might seem like any other brick, South Philly row home.

But the interior holds the contemporary farmhouse aesthetic that’s popular in homes around the city. The three-bed, two-bath place, which just listed for $504,900, was built in 1918 and retains the original—now worn—hardwood floors throughout the home.

The home opens to a living room and kitchen, which features a farmhouse-style sink and black stone countertops. That leads into a private patio outside.

On the second floor, the farmhouse-style elements continue, with exposed brick walls and worn wood and glass doors leading into one of the two bedrooms and exposed wood beams in another.

The third floor holds the master bedroom, which features two sets of double french doors for the closets, built-in storage, and a sliding pocket door that either makes the room private, or opens it up. The space also features a mini fridge, a wet bar, and a private roof deck.

The home has gone through a relatively small price jump since it was last sold in 2016 for $440k.
