Well, it looks like Philly got a little slice of Amazon after all, but this time, in the form of a new pickup location in Graduate Hospital.
The spot, at 23rd and South streets, opened Tuesday morning. It allows Amazon customers to pickup and return their packages at one place that has staff and self-serve kiosks. You can send your packages there—to avoid the issue of stoop thieves—and return packages easily, according to a statement from Amazon. Prime users can even get same-day deliveries at the location, “ on over a million items including Eagles jerseys,” the statement notes.
The new locale is different from those Amazon lockers placed throughout the city, as this one acts as a kind of Amazon-only post office.
This is the second Amazon pickup location in the city, with the first being the Amazon@Upenn location on the university’s campus.
