If you’ve stepped foot in Philly over the past three years, you’ve likely seen the W and Element Hotels project.
Jutting 52 stories high at the corner of Chestnut and 15th Streets, the development is easily one of Center City’s most anticipated upcoming pieces of new construction. It will bring two hotels inside one tower: the W Hotel with 295 rooms, and the Element, with 460 rooms.
While many Philadelphians have seen major milestones in the project’s construction—everything from the largest concrete pour in the city’s history, to the crane going up in 2016, where it still remains—they’ve mostly been from the lower levels.
But now you have the chance to check out the project from above.
Last week, we took you on a tour-by-sky of the newly finished Comcast Technology Center, thanks to drone photos from Christopher Kao, a FAA Part 107 certified commercial drone pilot.
Kao is back, this time with some mind boggling photos of the new W and Element Hotels project. Check it out before construction finally wraps up at the end of this year.
For the full, 360-degree view, Kao included images of the other side of the project, as well as some images of the surrounding neighborhood and Center City for good measure.
