Every year the Philadelphia Flower Show brings a kind of lush, magical wonderland Philly.
With flowers, lights, displays, and intricate, abstract art, the Philadelphia Horticulture Society annually looks to transform the Pennsylvania Convention Center into a nature oasis in the midst of a bustling city.
But this year, the show brought something extra special: a new theme called “Flower Power.” Reminiscent of the peace protests in the 1960s and 70s, the theme saw exhibits including peace symbols, retro trucks, guitars, and gardens overflowing with vibrant, flowers and pools of water.
On top of all that excitement, there’s another reason to get excited about this year’s show: The FTD Floral Cup, an international floral design competition, which hasn’t been held in the United States since 1985, is being held at the Flower Show this week.
So, with all of that, take a moment to check out the best Instagram photos from the Flower Show’s opening weekend last weekend. It all wraps up this Sunday.
