A double-wide brick Society Hill townhome that dates back to the early 1800s just came on the market, asking $1,800,000.
The 4-bed, 3.5-bath place at 109-11 Pine Street sits at 35 feet wide, with that classic old Philly exterior: brick and a pitched roof. But it has more than a few contemporary touches to complement its historic facade.
The 1807-built house was once a skinnier townhome that sat next to an empty lot, until the mid-1900s, when the owners built an addition and extended the home to a double-wide. That project included the addition of a massive living room with a 20-foot-high vaulted ceiling that’s become a sort of centerpiece for the home.

The rest of the space has seen renovations over the years as well. The home offers hardwood floors and plenty of natural light throughout, along with a sleek, contemporary master bath. Outside, you can find a large brick patio and garden, along with space for one car in the nearby garage.
The 3,500-square-foot home is being listed by Jeff Block of Compass.
