A 17-story mixed-use tower with parking, commercial space, and residences will move in just steps from the parkway, according to reports.
The glassy tower will rise at the corner of Race and 17th Streets, with 28 residences, ground-floor commercial space, a gym, and 28 parking spots, according to a brochure on the project. The residences, which range from 1,676 square feet to 2,450 square feet, will all offer two bedrooms and they’ll each have access to a deck.
PlanPhilly first reported on the plans last week, writing that demolition permits have been issued for the 19th-century rowhomes that currently sit at the site. The existing buildings are being used by the Friends Select School and their lease hasn’t yet expired, PlanPhilly wrote. The property owner, Steven Eizen, told the site that they were still in the very early stages of the planning process.
