What immediately leaps to mind when you think of Old City? Generally speaking, it’s colonial homes, trinities, and cobblestone streets.

But there’s plenty of interesting industrial architecture, too. Like The Castings building on the 130 North Bread Street, which just saw another unit go up for sale.

The loft apartment, tops off at 650 square feet, with a bottom level that includes a kitchen, bathroom, in-unit laundry, a brick wall, and exposed heating ducts. A spiral staircase leads up to the loft/bedroom area, which has plenty of closet space.

The unit—and The Castings building in general—stay true to their industrial past. The building, erected in the 1700s, was a foundry for years, according to an article on the neighborhood from the New York Times.

Now, it’s home to several lofts, with HOA fees of $278 per month. Interested? There’s an open house Tuesday from noon to 2 p.m. The house is being shown by Capri Dessecker of Re/Max Realty.
