Everyone has their must-have list when it comes to house- and apartment-hunting, whether it's a dishwasher, yard, or a walk-in closet. But another must is making the rounds: A dog-wash room.

Yes, the struggle to find pet-friendly abodes in the city is real. But fortunately, increasingly more developments are keeping furry friends in mind by pampering pets with amenities like dog runs, dog-washing facilities, and more.

We mapped 13 of the apartment buildings that offer the best pet-friendly amenities and/or policies. No doubt one of these will be the purr-fect home for you and your fluff ball.

The historic Garden Court Plaza in West Philly offers studios that start at $885, and one-, two- and three-bedroom flats, which top the price scale at $2,345/month. Cats and dogs are allowed and there is a dog park on the premises.

Korman Residential at International City Chalets

This suburban-style complex in Southwest Philly has studios that start at $830/month, one-bedrooms that top out at $1,125, and two-bedrooms for $1,380/month. Dogs and cats are allowed, under an 80-pound limit. The Woof Woof Club fenced dog park provides some quality off-leash time, while the John Heinz National Wildlife Refuge next door offers longer leashed walks.

Henry on the Park in Roxborough is a suburban-style apartment compound with outdoor amenities, like a pool, tennis courts, and a pet play area scattered between several buildings. Studios start at $965/month, and the largest four-bedroom is $2,310. Each of your two pets will add $35/month to the rent, plus a $300 fee. Dog walkers will like the long Wissahickon Valley Park trail heads that begin in the back yard.

The Fall Bridge Lofts apartments in East Falls is still under construction, but about half of the 46 loft units should be available by December. The building boasts river views and it is very close to Kelly Drive and the Schuylkill River Park, for long dog walks. Studios start at $1,300/month, one-bedrooms start at $1,400, and two-bedrooms start at $1,700, and there is a dog-washing facility on site.

Dalian on the Park

The just-opened Dalian on the Park apartment building on the Parkway also boasts a dog-wash room, as well as a roof deck with green space. Both dogs and cats are welcome, though there is a two-pet limit. Plus, a $350 deposit and $50 monthly pet rent.

Rittenhouse Hill Apartments

All dog breeds and cats are welcome at Rittenhouse Hill. Plus, the building has a "Just 4 Paws" service, which provides in-home care when you're away, as well as retrieval for day care and cat care, a dog-wash room, and a dog run. They'll even train your pups.
