Superman Sabotages Air Conditioning in South Philly

View as Map

A run of air conditioner and refrigerator sabotages in Whitman has local business owners on the alert: summer is coming, and cooling devices become more essential every day. The suspected thief was described as a thin, middle aged white man who was "possibly sporting a Superman tattoo on his neck."

Though the suspect, was only observed at the scene of one of the crimes, the proximity of all four crime sites suggests that the same person is responsible for all four thefts. All kidding about neck tattoos aside (neck tattoos are difficult to put aside, given their prominent location) the total cost of the combined damage and loss caused by these super-cold sabotages is more than $145,000, which is a pretty significant cost for a three-week old crime spree by one unfortunately tattooed suspect.
