People are staying in Philly hotels again, maybe because there are an increasing number to stay in. "Philadelphia is experiencing a hotel renaissance of sorts," says Caroline Bean from the Greater Philadelphia Tourism and Marketing Corporation (GPTMC). During the first six months of this year, Center City hotels had a 75 percent occupancy rate, which is higher than it's been in 12 years, and development and new openings continue. Hotels here are booming while the rest of the economy is busting. We have a map to show you what's going on.
