People are staying in Philly hotels again, maybe because there are an increasing number to stay in. "Philadelphia is experiencing a hotel renaissance of sorts," says Caroline Bean from the Greater Philadelphia Tourism and Marketing Corporation (GPTMC). During the first six months of this year, Center City hotels had a 75 percent occupancy rate, which is higher than it's been in 12 years, and development and new openings continue.
